Featured on Diners, Drive-in’s, and Dives!
Took the kids to St. Louis this weekend to see the arch, hit the zoo, and catch a St. Louis Cardinals game! One thing we love to do when we travel is see what restaurants are in the area that were featured on TV. We found a place that was featured on Diners, Drive-in’s, and Dives and we had to check it out!
Hwy 61 Roadhouse is in the suburbs of St. Louis. A nice quant area, opposite of being downtown. This place was so fun inside! Hwy 61 Roadhouse is a Louisiana feel restaurant, with all the Cajun food you could ask for! Mardi Gras beads everywhere, fun memorabilia on the walls, and just all around friendly atmosphere.
For a starter we ordered the wings! We decided on the Honey Bourbon smoked wing! Have you ever had a smoked chicken wing? It is amazing! With the nice sweat sauce and smoking flavor these wings are a must have!
For meals we had the special fried chicken with BBQ spaghetti, the philly cheesesteak made with briquet, pulled BBQ pork sandwich with fires, pulled BBQ pork on top of a corn meal waffle with red beans and rice! Everything was spectacular! We would highly recommend everything we had! You can’t go wrong!
Next time you are in St. Louis, check out Hwy 61 Roadhouse!
