Today’s featured wine is called Horse Heaven Hills Merlot by Columbia Crest Winery crafted in 2015. They have a nice line of wines to choose from like Cabernet Sauvignon, Les Chevaux red wine, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
This winery is located along the Columbia River in Eastern Washington. Columbia Crest Winery has been open since 1983. They have 3 categories of wines; Reserve, H3, and Grand Estates. H3 is more the everyday wine, Reserve and Grad Estates is a bit more fancy.
According to the Columbia Crest Winery, the Merlot wine is described as a medium-bodied Merlot that delivers aromas of spice and blackberry with the perfect balance of earth, cocoa and ripe cherry notes on the palate. The complex flavors are followed by a smooth, velvety finish.
