Wisconsin Cheese Fondue

A fantastic cheese fondue for fun parties or romantic date nights! Similar to the Melting Pots Wisconsin Cheese fondue but for half the cost, and when your full you can take a nap right there!

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Melt Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 servings


Ingredients

1/2 cup of a GOOD local Lager Beer, (we used Capital Brewery Pilsner Lager)

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 teaspoon dry mustard powder

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

6 ounces medium-sharp cheddar cheese

2 ounces Emmentaler Swiss cheese

2 tablespoons cornstarch


Instructions

Preparing the cheese

Prepare the cheese by grating the cheese. You will coat the cheese cornstarch.

Preparing the Fondue

Place beer, garlic, dry mustard, and Worcestershire in the pot and combine well.

When the beer mixture is warm, add one-third of the cheese and whisk very well. Once the cheese has been incorporated well continue to whisk in the cheese until it is all incorporated. Whisk until the cheese is smooth.

Serve with anything you would like. Examples: Granny Smith Apples, cauliflower, broccoli, pumpernickel bread , sourdough bread, wheat bread (cubed), carrots, and cherry tomatoes.
