Sweet Crispy Roasted Chickpeas

Make crispy roasted chickpeas for a protein-packed sweet snack!

Prep Time:: 5 mins

Bake Time: 30-35 mins

Total Time: 40 mins

Serves: 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed

Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling

Sea salt

2 tablespoons Montana Mex Sweet Seasoning Blend (can buy @ https://www.montanamex.com/ )

or you can mix sea salt, orange zest, cinnamon and fresh ginger.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spread the chickpeas on a kitchen towel and pat them dry. Remove any loose skins.

Transfer the dried chickpeas to the baking sheet and toss them with a drizzle of olive oil and generous pinches of salt.

Roast the chickpeas for 20 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Ovens can vary, if your chickpeas are not crispy enough, keep going until they are!

Remove from the oven and, while the chickpeas are still warm, toss with pinches of your favorite spices, in this case I used Montana Mex Sweet Seasoning Blend.

Store roasted chickpeas in a loosely-covered container at room temperature. They are best used within two days.

NOTE: Every oven is different. Cooking times will vary, if they still are soft put them inĀ  longer. Make sure to check on them after 20 minutes to see how they are doing!

Also, Montana Mex is a spice company we came across watching Tastemade channel on TV for cooking shows. I have no ties to this company I am just here to tell you the spices are AMAZING! Super reasonable. They make only 3 spices for cooking and this sweet one is awesome on roasted Chickpeas. I encourage you to check them out! They have a combo package that sells one of each spice and on the back it tells you all the amazing things you can use the spice on! Try it and let me know what you thing! They are a small family owed company.
